How is PAD diagnosed?

  • The ankle-brachial index -- known as ABI -- is a quick and simple way to diagnose PAD.
An ABI <0.9 indicates a diagnosis of PAD.

  • Duplex Ultrasonography, Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA) and Computed Tomography
Angiography (CTA) are other tools that can be used to help when treating PAD.
