2011 Vascular Imaging Symposium: Vascular Techniques and Interpretation

The American Society of Echocardiography’s (ASE) Vascular Imaging Symposium was once again a success. Designed to focus on the necessary tools for improving vascular ultrasound techniques, this revamped version of the 2010 course aimed to provide the tools necessary for the development of better technical and interpretive skills in cerebrovascular, renal, peripheral arterial and venous ultrasound techniques. Using didactic lectures, case studies and hands-on imaging, the experienced faculty provided thoughtful reviews, and were readily accessible to give technical tips, pearls and caveats. Attendees were provided the opportunity for hands-on live scanning as well as one-on-one question and answers with the faculty.

Drs. Emile Mohler, Robert T. Ebarhardt, Maria D. Gerhard-Herman, Jeffery W. Olin, and Heather Gornik, and Susan Gustavson, RVT

ASE wants to thank the program chairs: Dr. Emile Mohler III and Dr. Jeffrey Olin; the program faculty: Dr. Robert Eberhardt, Dr. Marie Gerhard-Herman, Dr. Heather Gornik; and the hands-on technicians: Susan Schultz, Susan Gustavson, Natasha Marchione and Nsel Misi for all their hard work and dedication in making the course educational and informative to the attendees.
