Society for Vascular Medicine Honors Bruce Gray with 2017 Jess R. Young Outstanding Educator Award
Oakbrook Terrace, IL – The Society for Vascular Medicine (SVM) awarded the 2017 Jess R. Young Outstanding Vascular Medicine Educator Award to Bruce Gray, DO, MSVM, , during the 2017 SVM Annual Meeting in June.
This award is presented in honor of Jess R. Young, in recognition of his ground-breaking work in the field of vascular medicine, his pre-eminence as an educator and his vision for multi-specialty programs.
Dr. Gray is a vascular medicine and endovascular specialist at Upstate Vascular Specialists in Greenville, South Carolina. Dr. Gray’s interests include peripheral intervention for aortic aneurysm, carotid, renal, and lower extremity disease. He has special expertise in fibromuscular dysplasia and congenital vascular diseases. For many years, Dr. Gray has served as the Chief Operating Officer of the American Board of Vascular Medicine which is dedicated to the certification of vascular medicine and endovascular medicine physicians.
The Society for Vascular Medicine (SVM) is a professional organization founded in 1989 to improve the integration of vascular biological advances into medical practice, and to maintain high standards of clinical vascular medicine. The Society is distinguished by its emphasis on clinical approaches to vascular disorders.
