Society for Vascular Medicine Fellows Course

A State-of-the-Art Review in Clinical Vascular Medicine

Fellows, registration is now open for the SVM Fellow's Course in Atlanta, GA, December 1-2, 2018. The deadline to register is Friday, October 12, but there are only 50 spots available, so do not delay. Thanks to industry support, this course is free to all attendees and a generous travel stipend will be provided.

The course will be held at the Westin Atlanta Airport in Atlanta, GA, and will provide a foundation in non-invasive vascular medicine. The program is designed to provide fellows of various training pathways including general cardiology, interventional cardiology, interventional vascular medicine, interventional radiology and vascular surgery with a foundation in non-invasive vascular medicine including the diagnosis and treatment of arterial, venous and lymphatic disease. This course will be a resource that will prepare participants to properly identify, diagnose and treat patients with vascular disease.

Topics covered include:

  • Pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis
  • Renal and carotid artery stenosis
  • Ulcers and wound care
  • Aneurysms and dissections
  • Critical Limb Ischemia

Sessions, including lectures and case discussions, will provide much-needed education and training by experts and leaders in the field of vascular medicine. There is a $200 registration fee for fellows, which will be refunded when the fellow completes the course and submits the reimbursement form by the deadline, per agreement with SVM. Seats are limited. Attendees must apply and be accepted for participation. Following the course, SVM will reimburse approved expenses up to $750 (with their submission of receipts for airfare and hotel by December 14, 2018).
