Society for Vascular Medicine Fellows Course
December 1-2, 2018
Westin Atlanta Airport
The fourth annual SVM Fellows Course was held in Atlanta, Georgia, on December 1-2, 2018. Once again, the course was at full capacity soon after enrollment opened. Attending the event was a diverse group of fellows representing all invasive and non-invasive specialties focusing on vascular disease. The level of fellow engagement throughout the course continued to rise this year through a continued focus on case-based learning and further development of our hands-on learning sections. Through didactic patient-based and interactive presentations, the Society’s expert faculty covered the entire spectrum of vascular disease ranging from diagnostic algorithms for edema to advanced therapies for limb salvage.
With the help of our generous industry sponsors, the fellows engaged in a variety of in-depth discussions at mealtime and evening symposia. Ultrasound guided access, point-of care ultrasound, advanced femoropopliteal intervention, deep venous intervention and the management of thoracic aneurysms were all covered in content-rich symposia spread throughout the course.
Feedback after the course was overwhelmingly positive, and we look forward to holding another such successful course in 2019.

Special thanks to Julie Webb and Annie Cox from Kellen who helped make the course a reality and to the SVM faculty who found the time to offer lectures as course faculty. We hope to see your fellows at the 2019 SVM Fellows Course. Stay tuned for additional details.
