Vascular diseases account for most of the morbidity and mortality in the United States. In addition to stroke, myocardial infarction and venous thromboembolism, the field of vascular medicine encompasses a broad spectrum of arterial, venous and lymphatic disorders, common and uncommon. Vascular medicine also encompasses associated medical disorders and metabolic conditions, including hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes mellitus and hypercoagulable states. This diversity and complexity of vascular diseases requires knowledgeable practitioners of vascular medicine to provide cost-effective care. The Society’s mission is to promote vascular medicine through education, training and research. The Society includes among its membership the major investigators and opinion leaders in vascular medicine.

As a donor to SVM, your contribution will help ensure the free flow of vital information and strengthen the cooperation that is fundamental to effective vascular medicine training and research. Your donation will allow SVM’s community of physicians and non-physician vascular medicine professionals to share scientific data and discoveries made possible through their practice and research.
As a donor, you will help promote an open forum for discussion, teamwork and discovery.

Your generous donation will:

  • Support SVM members in training and research that will lead to tomorrow’s therapies for a host of vascular diseases.
  • Advance scientific education and encourage global information sharing across different vascular disciplines.
  • Advance public education about all elements of vascular diseases.
