President's Message

Dear SVM members,

Welcome to the first edition of the reinvented What’s Circulating SVM Newsletter. As usual, our Board of Trustees, committee chairs, and members have been quite busy planning programs for the coming year and also kicking off the work of our committees. I want to particularly thank those of you who responded to our call for volunteers for two new committees, the Next Generation (early career) Committee, and the Task Force on Vascular Medicine (clinical) practice. Stay tuned for fresh ideas and new voices that will emerge from these groups. During the coming two years, I want to engage as many of our members as possible in our SVM activities, publications (especially our journal Vascular Medicine) and networking events. Let’s continue to work together to grow our membership, strengthen the pipeline of future SVM leaders, and further the impact of our Society.

Please take a few minutes to click through the information below, and please spread the word about our activities (…especially the upcoming SVM Fellows’ Course) to your colleagues and trainees.

Wishing all of you a peaceful, productive, and happy fall.

Yours truly,

Heather Gornik, MD, FSVM
