CAD/PAD Educational Series

Learn about late-breaking medical advancements from leading experts – and earn CME for free! This educational series, jointly provided by Duke University Health System Department of Education and Professional Development in collaboration with SVM and the Society for Vascular Surgery, utilizes short-form video episodes based upon single learning objectives.

Programs

Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) and Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) are chronic progressive cardiovascular diseases which are subject to an elevated risk of secondary thrombotic events, associated with various atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases. The asymptomatic nature of PAD is worrisome, not only because of the sheer nature of patients who report as such, but it serves as a risk for progressive atherosclerotic disease. A lack of disease recognition and diagnosis is the first barrier to optimal prevention strategies. Throughout the continuum of CAD/PAD, multiple providers are involved in the patient care including but not limited to vascular surgeons, interventional endovascular specialists, vascular medicine specialists, clinical cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, hematologists, hospitalists, primary care providers, pharmacists, nurses and discharge planners.

This educational series will include four individual programs available on the MedEd On The Go educational platform and corresponding app.
