Vascular Medicine Journal (VMJ)

  • Vascular Medicine Journal Online-Only Subscription is available to SVM Members for $110.
  • Starting in 2024 there will be an additional fee of $50 for a printed subscription. 

SVM Code of Ethics

Adherence to the SVM Code of Ethics is a requirement of membership.

SVM Membership Categories

Doctorate Member* – Maintains a professional interest in vascular medicine, vascular surgery, or vascular radiology with a doctorate degree (MD, DO, MBBS, PhD, PharmD or equivalent). CV upload required. Annual dues $425 and includes an online subscription to Vascular Medicine Journal. Print subscription available for $50.

Associate Member – Active in a postgraduate training program. Annual dues $25.

Advanced Practitioner Member – Includes nurse practitioner, physician assistant, certified nurse specialists or equivalent. CV upload required. Annual dues $125.

Vascular Care Team Member – Includes nurses, sonographer/vascular technologists, radiology technician (CT, MR), cardiac cath lab technologists or equivalent. CV upload required. Annual dues $90.

Student Member – Any student in a degree-granting program, which may include high school, college/university, medical school, nursing school, and/or graduate school. Annual dues $25.

Senior Member – SVM Members who are over 65 years of age and do not practice any longer but wish to remain involved in SVM may apply for Senior Membership. No annual dues.

World Bank Tiered Membership – A 50% discount in the base cost of membership is available upon request for those members living and working in countries that are within the three lowest World-Bank economic tiers (low, lower-middle and upper-middle) and other members with demonstrated financial hardship.

* Applicants with non-physician doctorate degrees may choose between Doctorate membership or an appropriate non-doctorate category (e.g., Advanced Practitioner for those with DNP, or Vascular Care Team for those with PharmD).

Must be in an accredited postgraduate training program. Documentation is required if longer than 4 years.

Vascular Care Team

Sonographer/vascular technologist, nurse, radiology tech (CT, MR), cardiac cath lab tech or equivalent.

Annual Dues – $90

Advanced Practitioner

Nurse practitioner, physician assistant, clinical nurse specialist; master’s degree.

Annual Dues – $125

Student

Must be in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution.

Annual Dues – $25
