The SVM Michael R. Jaff, DO, FSVM, Fellows Leadership Institute is designed to create an intensive learning community connecting Vascular Medicine fellows and faculty to advance clinical knowledge and career development. We are modeling the program on the seminar series offered to fellows in the Ansell Fellowship. Fellows who participated had an amazing experience learning vascular medicine across institutions and making connections across the vascular medicine community.

SVM is pleased to name this important initiative after Dr. Jaff, who is a former President of the Society for Vascular Medicine and Biology and a Master of the society. He is also Past-President of the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories, and Past-President of VIVA Physicians. Among his many awards are the Leaders in Vascular Education Achievement Award from VIVA Physicians and the Jess R. Young Career Educator Award from the Society for Vascular Medicine. He is Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and has 360 peer reviewed original publications to his name in prominent journals including JACC, Circulation and the New England Journal of Medicine. Dr. Jaff continues to support our society at large and the education of our trainees and early career colleagues on a routine basis.
