The Ido Weinberg, MD, MSVM, Vascular Medicine Rotation Travel Grant

This grant is named in honor of Ido Weinberg, MD, MSVM, a beloved leader in vascular medicine and past president of the Society for Vascular Medicine. Dr. Weinberg was deeply committed to mentorship and to nurturing the next generation of vascular medicine specialists. We are proud to carry his legacy forward through this program.

The Society for Vascular Medicine is pleased to launch the Ido Weinberg, MD, MSVM, Vascular Medicine Rotation Travel Grant — a resource for reducing the financial barriers associated with elective rotations.

SVM will award one to two grants per year of up to $5,000 each, to help cover travel, lodging, and related expenses. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis beginning January 1, 2027.

Eligibility and Application Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be a current SVM Trainee Member enrolled in a vascular medicine, cardiology, or internal medicine training program
• Provide a letter from the host institution confirming agreement to host the rotation
• Provide a letter from the home institution granting permission to participate
• Submit a personal statement, curriculum vitae, and anticipated budget
• At the completion of the rotation, submit expenses to SVM for reimbursement
